Director Perasu has agreed to wait for Simran to do an item number in his forthcoming film Sivakasi. He met Simran in delhi.

The actress said that she will be delivering in May and would report for the item number in July. She does the item number with Vijay. The director hopes that the song will be as big hit as Aalthota Bhoppathi.

Vijay’s father is Rajesh and Seetha plays mother. Asin the leading lady’s father in Malayalam actor Murali. For the film a huge set which is a replica of Ranganathan street of Chennai is being built in Vahuni studios at a cost of Rs 1 crore.

Vijay and family who are in London will come down in May end to start work for the film. The director says that the film has mother sentiment and action mixed to bring back cheers to the actor’s fans after the Sachien debacle.
