K Balachander's Kavithalaya is launching a
new Tamil film, 'Idhaya Thirudan', with Jayam Ravi and and Mumbai's
model Kaamna in the lead roles. The film has story, dialogue and
direction by Saran.
Balachander will light the traditional lamp on April 13 to commence
the shooting of the film.
Like all other Saran's films, this too will have lyrics by Vairamuthu
and music by Bharadwaj. The last film involving this trio was Vasool
Raja MBBS.
Saran belongs to the Balachander school. His earlier films were
'Kadhal Mannan', 'Amarkkalam', 'Parthen Rasithen', 'Gemini', 'Jay
Jay', 'Vasool Raja MBBS' and 'Attagasam'.
The heroine was selected from the Internet. Pics of more than 100
models were studied before the director finally okayed Kaamna.
'Idhaya Thirudan' has Vani Viswanath, Nasser, Prithviraj, Kalpana,
Kaka Radhakrishnan, Gnanasambandan, Jayachandran, Madan Bob, Crazy
Mohan, Meera Krishnan, Lollu Santhanam and M S Baskar in the cast.
Pushpa Kandaswamy is the producer. Diagoues are provided by Crazy
Mohan.
